Reviews!

Well,

I'd just like to say thanks for the lovely reviews everyone!

So thank you Kristin from Craft Leftovers and Rachel Hobson at Craftzine.

Also, I would like to extend a thousand apologies for being such a bad blogger. I think I managed to out cross stitch myself over the summer! Who knew that could happen! Now it is Autumn here I am off to set up a new project and this time I am going to get a proper lamp. First stop Ikea.x

I wrote a book.

Ever so quietly and in a very short space of time (well, shorter than I imagined) I wrote a book.

You can buy one if you like from my friends at Barnes and Noble. It comes wit 6 pieces of cross-stitch fabric and embroidery floss as well as 2 embroidery needles! Let alone the pattern book!! Woo Hoo!

Do Dadds.

I was very lucky to recently inherit my Grandmothers collection of.. well, do dadds. Or thing-a-magigs..

But what a collection! This special box contains a good 30 odd years of little handmade dolls and the like from functions my Grandmother must have attended. I'm not sure why they were given but she always came home with this little creations. I think they were made with the place settings?? Whoever the hostess with the mostest was I shall never know.

I very narrowly nearly lost this precious box to my 8 year old cousin. But at the last moment I think it was deemed she had too many toys and Bingo! They're Mine!!

I'm just not quite sure what to do with them as I love them all so much. Suggestions anyone?

P.S. How great is the Santa!!

Tsuyumi

I have just found these lovely winter hats via the Steven Alan website. Tsuyumi is the handiwork of designer Tsuyumi Kumazaki. Now it's a bit warm here in Australia to be thinking of knitting but I find it's always the time of year I'm thinking of just that. I find it's kind of like enjoying ice cream in winter.. Does anyone else have this seasonal problem? Or is it just me?

Anyhow I quite love this hat. I love the combination of the crochet and the flecked wool. I wonder what type of scarf you would pair with it?

Please make sure you visit her website as they others are just as lovely. And if you're in America or somewhere that the dollar isn't as bad as the Australian one right now. You should snap one of these lovely designs. i wish I could (sigh)..

Confessions.

Just to let you all know out there why I haven't been the worlds best blogger of late... I have been writing a book. It's a craft book on cross stitch and it has seriously taken every spare second of my creativity for the past so many months. It has finally gone to the printer and will be out in the US through Barnes and Noble in around April. Phew!

It was a really big project with a lot to be done in a very short space of time. A lot of stitching and sewing and trail and error but all for the best. I've very interested to see how it will be when it comes out.. So stay tuned.

Now back to blogging!

I have a lot to catch up on and share with you all.
