Bignose Panda

How sweet are these keychains! Love them! You can get them at the Bignose Panda store... I really do have to get off Etsy or I'll go broke.

Ha Ha Robert Smith!

This morning whilst still eating christmas leftovers I've been toiling around on Etsy. This Robert Smith doll took my fancy. I think I may have to buy it as it makes me laugh. You can see the full collection at the Rosebud Factory store if you do a search on Etsy (as I can't seem to get the link working).

Applique Handbags from Japan

Continuing my Japanese link hopping I found these bags on Bon Bon. Making a handbag over the summer holidays is a good time filler and applique is so easy, not to forget patchwork too. Best get cracking!

Naked and Angry - but not really!

So the name through me a first too, but Naked and Angry is a really fun little site. You can submit your own wallpaper designs to be scored and if you score highly you win US$500 and they'll print up and sell your work! Now what's more fun than that?

Wary Meyers

Super interiors and some of the best cushions I've seen in ages. Check out the excellent Wary Meyers website here. They also do paintings, pet portraits, clothing... and one of the best window displays I've ever come across. They're marshmellows!

Isabelle Grizzard

Last year I bought some really beautiful watercolour paints and special paper and due to all sorts of procrastinations I have been lacking inspiration, till I happened on the work of Brooklyn based artist Isabelle Grizzard. Now I just have to get through the pile of pre christmas cleaning and I'm on to it!

Quick Bootie Call

This is just a quick call to say check out these booties! There is a fantastic tutorial over at Molly Chicken . I think I'll make them up in my size like a giant pair of fancy ugg boots.

Larking around the world

Vintage Bunty Comic Coasters

Vintage Milk Cap Fridge Magnets

Vintage Noddy T-shirt

Lark Designs launched in Cambridge, England, in 2004 and are now based in our very own Dayelsford....Australia. All of their gifts are hand made using recycled materials. Fun things like old children's books, vintage dress fabrics, discarded boy's comics and 70's wallpaper. They turn them into one-off mini artworks, perfect for special gifts and ...lets face it, at this time of year everyone needs a few more.....stocking fillers.
Heavenly Daylesford, ahhhh, I love Daylesford.

Happy Birthday Miffy...& Eliza.

Hip Hip Hooray! Miffy is 50. Can you beleive it?
Created in 1955 by Dick Bruna in the Netherlands and first published in 1963 Miffy has taken the world by storm. In 1983 the first 'miffy playgroup opened, in 1992 she featured in 52 short TV films for KRO television. In 2001 we saw the premiere of the miffy musical...and the 100th title by Dick Bruna was published and over the next 5 years Miffy notched up her 200th performance of the miffy musical, introduced miffy 3d animated films for TV, premiered a second musical and was appointed as New York City Family Tourism Ambassador. For a little white rabbit she sure does have it going on (much like Eliza who celebrated her birthday yesterday!).
After a huge redevelopment the V & A Museum of Childhood reopen their doors this Saturday and feature an Exhibition titled 'Happy Birthday Miffy'
If you need a miffy fix amazon have plenty of titles to search through or take a look at the official website.

December 5th progress report

OK, so I did quite well on the crafty tasks today. I made 6 cushions for my outdoor area using the vintage fabric from Lorne.

Plus, I tried out the Little Bird soft tree pattern and the fabric chain (which is a work in progress) from Moki. I can't decide whether to add an additional colour or leave it green? The green does go quite well with the pink border on the mirror behind.

I also completed another set of bunting.
The only thing left on my task list is the glycerin and the figurines. I guess that's for tomorow!

Today's Task list

Tuesday 5th December

Crafty Tasks:

Make Soft Trees using Little Birds PDF Pattern

Finish Cushions using vintage fabric from the Lorne op shop

Make paper (fabric) chain for hallway

Buy glycerin to make Martha's Snow Globes and source figurines

Post pictures of completed or WIP pieces on Miss Woolly....so stay tuned.
