Bringing you our very own.

Take a look, Australia has it's very own online site promoting Australian designers and selling in Aussie dollars.

We do love Etsy but this is also excellent. "Madeit is an online community where you can buy, sell and talk independent. Buy unique independent goods or sell your own. Visit the directory for Australian independent designers or talk independent in the community forum."

Kristen Doran

Look at these lovely prints by Sydney designer Kristen Doran. I came across them via the Duckcloth site. They are hand made and sold by the piece, not the metre. For us lucky people in Melbourne you can purchase your very own piece from Patchwork on Central. Kirsten also has a shop here and a lovely blog over at Cheeky Beaks where you can find plenty more goodies.

Back from Turkey

I am back from Turkey after a month of heavenly sunshine with a new obsession.....Cornucopia. It rivals my love of World of Interiors & Selvedge magaizes. This edition also has a feature on "A riot of textiles: Fabulous fabrics in Istanbul" and a tribute tp the incredible Lesley Blanch (what a fascinating lady!), so I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new subscription.
Once I have had a chance to sort through my photos I'll post some images of the amazing Kilims we came across. I hope you are all well, happy and keeping warm.
