hand made hand bag by Elizabeth Djakurrurr

The Bula'bula Arts Aboriginal Corporation present Out of the Dilly Bag - and into the Canoe. An exhibition on canvas, print, fibre and sculpture from the Ramingining Community, Central Arnhem Land in Northern Territory. The exhibition is being held at Bright Space, Contemporary Arts Venue in St Kilda until 8 July.
The exhibition coincides with the screeing of Ten Canoes a film by Rolf de Heer (..Bad Boy Bubby, The Tracker, Alexandra's Project..) and the Ramingining Community. It's no action film but it's a story with a definite sense of humour that sweeps you along. The landscape, well what can I say, it's a stunning part of the world. You'll be mesmerised by it.
