We haven't had a post on anything Japanese for ....oh, about 4 days.
So, to quench Miss Woolly's insatiable thirst for all things Japanese... here goes.
KimonoYES is an Australian company, based in ACT, who sell Antique Japanese Fabric perfect for the quilting enthusiast out there. You can buy bundled lots or single pieces, along with obi's, tassels and a set of haori himo.
or.. why not join the Fabric & More Club at Ah! Kimono. Each month or quarter (you select) they'll send you a package of vintage fabrics to the value of either $36 or $20.
What a perfect combination, a package in the mail that would contain Japanese fabric. It's almost too good to be true (or is that just me?).

Jonathan Adler

Jonathan Adler Utopia man and woman vases.
Jonathan Adler Happy Tapestry. Hand hooked dense pile wool tapestry.
I just came across Jonathan Adler's online store and must confess to being quite entertained by his "About" page.

Bisazza

These chairs were designed by Particia Urquiola for the Ideal House as part of the 2005 Cologne International Furniture Fair.
Patricia is also a designer for Bisazza, who's website I AM NOW OBSESSED WITH. I particularly love the Hotel una Vittoria reception in Firenze, by Fabio Novembre.
I am now thinking of making my own with this Mosaic Delux software.

The World of Interiors...and ballet slippers!

I found these great lamps, thanks to the help of one of my favorite magazines, on Russell Callow's site - Period clocks and Interiors

along with these ballet flats at French Sole. Take a look at the full range. who'd have thought it possible, quilted ones too.

Whip up a Spring warp

This great wrap takes less than two hours and doesn't have any button holes or zippers. Sounds great to me. You can downlaod the pattern free from the Fitz site.

A bit of David Hicks for Polly

David Hicks (1929-98) decorated the Prince of Wales' first apartment at Buckingham Palace as well as working for Vidal Sassoon & Helena Rubinstein. This site has a massive archieve of his interiors for you all to enjoy. The images above are c.1970. As you can tell I still haven't let this Apartment Therapy thing go. I hear Polly has the same problem. x

Handmade Zakka

I couldn't resist the handamade zakka books on Amazon.jp and so took the plunge, justifying that is would be an early birthday present for myself. Amazon were so prompt in fact that, it's no where near my birthday and I may just have to buy another one when the time comes closer.
The book is gorgeous (sorry my pictures don't quite do it justice) and even though it's all in Japanese the instructions are very detailed and easy to follow.
For further inspiration take a look at this lovely Japanese site, the linen bird have a great online store. Eliza, look at the tote bags on this page.
Before I go I must say, How Glorious is this weather! I love this time of year, it makes me think of my friend Marisa and Elwood. What fun.
