Do Dadds.

I was very lucky to recently inherit my Grandmothers collection of.. well, do dadds. Or thing-a-magigs..

But what a collection! This special box contains a good 30 odd years of little handmade dolls and the like from functions my Grandmother must have attended. I'm not sure why they were given but she always came home with this little creations. I think they were made with the place settings?? Whoever the hostess with the mostest was I shall never know.

I very narrowly nearly lost this precious box to my 8 year old cousin. But at the last moment I think it was deemed she had too many toys and Bingo! They're Mine!!

I'm just not quite sure what to do with them as I love them all so much. Suggestions anyone?

P.S. How great is the Santa!!

Tsuyumi

I have just found these lovely winter hats via the Steven Alan website. Tsuyumi is the handiwork of designer Tsuyumi Kumazaki. Now it's a bit warm here in Australia to be thinking of knitting but I find it's always the time of year I'm thinking of just that. I find it's kind of like enjoying ice cream in winter.. Does anyone else have this seasonal problem? Or is it just me?

Anyhow I quite love this hat. I love the combination of the crochet and the flecked wool. I wonder what type of scarf you would pair with it?

Please make sure you visit her website as they others are just as lovely. And if you're in America or somewhere that the dollar isn't as bad as the Australian one right now. You should snap one of these lovely designs. i wish I could (sigh)..
