Super Tapestry

So impressed with these tapestry kits by Emily Peacock. We have recently bought a house and there are a million and one nesting projects I have up my sleeves. I think I have just added one more...

Sorry!
This is terrible of me but I literally forgot my Blogger password! I have just this moment retrieved it from the dark recesses of my brain. This hasn't happened to me since I forgot my keycard pin number after a big night out in 2003! I have been trying to log in for about 2 weeks. Sheesh!
So many many apologies for my terrible non posting! I'm going to try to be a much better blogger from now on. Fingers crossed.x
Some great blogs that I love reading (who are also much better posters than me) are -
Jane's at Sea of Shoes and her Mum Judy's at Atlantis Home
I also love love Studio Violet and Fine Little Day. Studio Violet is the combined blog of both Camilla Engman and Elisabeth Dunker. Fine Little Day is Elizbeth's blog. Great reads both of them.

Places to go, People to see
Here are some things I would like to get to do and see.
There is a great new exhibition on at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney called I Walk the Line: New Australian Drawing. The MCA is somewhere I always head to when I get a chance to go to Sydney. I really love works on paper.
Children of the Wave have a great new album out on Inertia called Carapace.
I AM going to see Simon and Garfunkel in June!! Yay! The tickets cost me a ton of $$ but I think it will be worth it. I hope they wear skivvies!
And finally I am awaiting the new Yusuf Islam album, Roadsinger. I also heard a rumor that he may tour down here. Which would be amazing.

Reviews!

Well,
I'd just like to say thanks for the lovely reviews everyone!
So thank you Kristin from Craft Leftovers and Rachel Hobson at Craftzine.
Also, I would like to extend a thousand apologies for being such a bad blogger. I think I managed to out cross stitch myself over the summer! Who knew that could happen! Now it is Autumn here I am off to set up a new project and this time I am going to get a proper lamp. First stop Ikea.x

I wrote a book.
Ever so quietly and in a very short space of time (well, shorter than I imagined) I wrote a book.
You can buy one if you like from my friends at Barnes and Noble. It comes wit 6 pieces of cross-stitch fabric and embroidery floss as well as 2 embroidery needles! Let alone the pattern book!! Woo Hoo!

Do Dadds.

I was very lucky to recently inherit my Grandmothers collection of.. well, do dadds. Or thing-a-magigs..
But what a collection! This special box contains a good 30 odd years of little handmade dolls and the like from functions my Grandmother must have attended. I'm not sure why they were given but she always came home with this little creations. I think they were made with the place settings?? Whoever the hostess with the mostest was I shall never know.
I very narrowly nearly lost this precious box to my 8 year old cousin. But at the last moment I think it was deemed she had too many toys and Bingo! They're Mine!!
I'm just not quite sure what to do with them as I love them all so much. Suggestions anyone?
P.S. How great is the Santa!!
