Winter quilting ideas
I was happily playing around on Flickr over the weekend and I found this great example of simple yet effective quilting. I thought I'd share it to give some of you, who like me need a little push into your next project.

Big Big News
Hooray!!! Miss Woolly is a winner in the Fred Flare annual call for entries Next Big Thing competition!!! So exciting!!!
This also explains our lack of posting as we've been celebrating our exciting feat! So stay tuned as there is a vote about to begin for the peoples choice favourite so we'll be letting you know about that.
In the meanwhile head over to our friends at Fred Flare and take a peek.

P.S Thanks to everyone who left lovely comments! Pip, we're going to drop in to see you soon. x

Sonyia Rykiel
I love generally everything Sonia Rykiel. So lovely and colourful.... I think I have to look into collecting it. Then I can sit back and look special when I'm crafting!

Things I have been doing
Recently I have been making pot holders as presents for friends. This is one recently completed for my good friend Anthea. They're quite easy to make and this one was fun to embroider. Earlier this year a made another for my friend Anna and currently I have two in the making for other birthdays (belated). So I best get back to work.

The Chiri-Men Craft Museum
I have the loveliest younger brother ever. He just got back form a trip to Japan and bought me the cutest miniture fabric sushi set from the Chiri-Man Craft Museum in Kyoto. It came to me packaged in the best of Japanese packaging - 2 cute bags and stickers galore. Above is a great vege basket.
Eveything is made out of Chirimen silk crape which is woven from two types of silk threads twisted in different directions by turns in the weft. The famous wrinkles emerge after the fabric is washed.
