Lemon Cordial

I made my very first batch of cordial last week and I was so surprised at how easy it was. It's a great way to keep eveything homemade and control the sugar intake (or at least try to). The recipe I used was from Stephanie Alexander's Cooks Companion. I must admit there was a lot of sugar but it was so easy and quick to make.

I also made Lemon Curd which is great on scones and toast. Yum!

What flavor cordial did you make? I have been thinking about trying to make a cardamom flavored one to put in my hot chocolate...

cordials are liquers in AU too, right? otherwise ignore me.

This is lemon cordial and we have it mainly diluted with water and ice in summer. Some people add it to vodka to flavor, but to my knowlege there is no alcoholic content. It's just sugar water.

But what you're planning sound great. Can you let us know how it works out?
