Anna Sui's teacup

So I've been trawling Style.com again... You can get lost there for hours! Anyhow, so it's all about A/W 07 at the moment and I just loved this little bit of cute detail from the Anna Sui collection. Totally easy to do yourself onto an old cardigan or jacket I think. Jazz things up a bit.

Terry from Softies Central is also the brainchild behind The Softie Awards 2007. With 3 amazing judges...Lena Corwin: NY based Illustrator and Designer, Jean Docherty and Natalie Zee Drieu the associate eitor of CRAFT, it's certainly going to be a wonderful showdown. So, get your Softies in soon.

Free Amy Butler Patterns

If you have the sewing bug, like me.....hop over to Amy's website. You'll find a number of fantastic free patterns, like the Lotus Brick Path Quilt & the Hourglass Pillows, featured above.
I'm in love with her studio. I wonder if she needs an assistant?

PS Does anyone ever manage to fit everything into a weekender travel bag? I love the idea but streamlining.......well, it isn't really my forte.

Knitting Nuns make off with the loot!

This little story was too good not to share with you. Ohhh the lure of an international fashion show........
55 nuns have run up half a million pound debt establishing a knitting emporium near the Greek- Bulgarian border. Apparently the knitting business began to unravel when the nuns accrued massive debts after attending foreign fashion shows in a bid to keep up with the latest designs in woollen garments....matters weren't helped by the fact that they purchased 6 industrial knitting machines and mortgaged the monastrey to the hilt. You can read the full story here.
Here's to big dreams.
