I was very lucky to recently inherit my Grandmothers collection of.. well, do dadds. Or thing-a-magigs..But what a collection! This special box contains a good 30 odd years of little handmade dolls and the like from functions my Grandmother must have attended. Now this great project is another my industrious husband made for another of our friends newborn babies - young Teddy Mac. He stitched it himself and I did my best to make it look ipod-ish. Even though I'm more of a tights and skirt girl I do love a good pair of socks. Here are some extra special ones from Japan by a label called Antipast. As promised here is a photo taken by my lovely husband of the little school house I made for Ziya. I found the pattern via the greatness going on over at Les Chroniques de Frimousse.In retrospect I could have made the construction a little easier for myself by making it like you would a box instead of individual panels. Just got back from the best honeymoon ever in the Whitsundays. While there we discovered a little jem of a time warp called Hook Island. So cute. Don't let the photo's in the photo section fool you... This island had it's hayday in 1980. Which is what makes it the coolest. Great place to take your buddies on a vacay.
